Krøyer – An International perspective
Peder Severin Krøyer is one of the most significant Scandinavian artists of the nineteenth century, and in his time, he occupied a natural position among the international artistic elite. Krøyer’s art is often viewed in the context of the Skagen painters, but Krøyer was a cosmopolitan, and this catalogue approach Krøyer’s from a new angle and place him in a wider European context – in an international light.
The richly illustrated catalogue is made in collaboration with The Hirschsprung Collection for the largest exhibition of Krøyer’s art in recent time.
