Director, Art Museums of Skagen

Lisette Vind Ebbesen has been the director of Skagens Kunstmuseer | Art Museums of Skagen since 2014. Prior to this, she was the director of Skagens Museum from 2008. As director of Skagens Museum, Lisette Vind Ebbesen led the successful merger of Skagens Museum with the studio museums Anchers Hus and Drachmanns Hus in 2014, and has since served as the director of the new organisation, Art Museums of Skagen.

As director of Skagens Museum and later Art Museums of Skagen, Lisette Vind Ebbesen’s strategic direction has included the expansion of Skagens Museum with a new wing by Friis & Moltke Architects (2014-2016), which more than doubled the exhibition space and allowed the museum to establish a new paintings conservation studio.

In 2016 she was awarded Carl Jacobsen’s Museum Professional Grant by the New Carlsberg Foundation in recognition of ‘her outstanding work for Skagens Museum’.

Lisette Vind Ebbesen serves at the boards of Kulturarvnord – the association of museums in the North Denmark Region and Klitgården Refugium – the residency programme in the former royal villa of Klitgården, Skagen.
